Sunday 7 November 2027 · 6:00am start

Six kilometres of river. Two thousand neighbours.

The eleventh Riverside Run starts at the Bund Garden bridge and follows the water east while the city is still quiet. Walk it, jog it, or push a pram along it — every finisher gets the same medal.

Three routes, one finish line

All three distances start and finish at the Bund Garden bridge, so your family sees you off and welcomes you back in the same spot.

3K Family Walk · ₹300

Flat, fully paved, and pram-friendly. Starts at 7:15am after the runners are clear. Under-12s go free with a registered adult.

5K Run · ₹600

The classic distance and the one most people pick. One water station at the halfway turn, chip timing, and a medal at the line.

10K Run · ₹900

Two loops of the river path with a timing mat at each turn. Cut-off is 90 minutes; the sweep cycle picks up anyone behind it.

Where your entry fee goes

Every entry funds one metre of riverbank

Riverside Run is run entirely by volunteers, so entry fees go straight to the Mula-Mutha Restoration Trust: silt removal, native replanting along the bank, and the two full-time wardens who keep the stretch clear year-round.

“In 2019 you could not walk this stretch without covering your face. Last month I saw kingfishers twice in one morning. That is eleven years of somebody's entry fee, and it is not finished yet.”

Before you sign up

Do I need to be fast?+

No. The 3K walk has no time limit at all, and roughly a third of the 5K field walks at least part of it. The only cut-off is on the 10K, at 90 minutes.

Can children take part?+

Yes. Under-12s go free on the 3K family walk when registered alongside an adult. The 5K is open from age 12 and the 10K from age 16.

What do I get for my entry fee?+

A race bib with chip timing, a finisher's medal, breakfast on the lawn, and bag drop. Shirts are a separate add-on so we do not print two thousand we cannot use.

Is there parking?+

Very little. The bridge closes to traffic from 4:30am. Metro runs from 5:30am, and there is free cycle parking on the lawn side.

What if it rains?+

The run goes ahead in rain. It is only cancelled for a flood warning on the river, and in that case entries roll over to the following year automatically.

Registration closes 31 October

Or when we hit 2,500 runners, whichever comes first. There is no race-day registration for the timed distances.
