Eleven pieces, drawn from the temple gold of the Malabar coast.

Each piece is made once, in 22-karat, by four goldsmiths in Thrissur whose families have worked the same forms for six generations. Nothing in this collection will be made again.

On making things once

A single Kadalasu takes eleven days. Nine of those are spent on the granulation — thousands of gold beads, each placed by hand and fused without solder, a technique that has not changed materially since the Chera period. There is no machine version of this. If there were, we would still not use it, because the small irregularities are the reason the surface catches light the way it does.

Can a piece be resized?+

Bangles and rings, yes, within two sizes, by the same workshop that made them. Anything granulated cannot be resized without remaking the section — we will tell you before you buy.

Do you offer certification?+

Every piece ships with BIS hallmarking and, where diamonds are set, an IGI report. The gold weight and making charge are itemised separately on the invoice.

Is there a buy-back?+

We buy back any Suvarna piece at the prevailing gold rate less 4%, indefinitely. The making charge is not returned; no honest jeweller returns it.
