An evening for people who run things

The Foundry Rooms is a quarterly mixer for operators in Hyderabad — heads of ops, finance, people, and engineering at companies past their first fifty employees. Ninety people, three rooms, no panel and no pitch deck.

The Loft, Financial District · Drinks and dinner included · ₹1,500

Who is usually in the room

We keep the mix deliberately narrow. It is the reason people come back.

You will fit right in if

  • You own a function at a company of 50 to 500 people
  • Your job involves more spreadsheets than slides
  • You have had to hire, fire, or restructure a team this year
  • You would rather talk to eight people properly than collect forty business cards

It is probably not for you if

  • You are here primarily to sell to the room
  • You are looking for investors — there is a better event for that and we will happily point you at it
  • You want a stage, a mic, or a slot on a panel

How the evening runs

Three hours, three rooms, and a structure light enough that you can ignore it entirely.

  1. 6:30pm — Arrivals. Name badges carry your function, not your job title, which turns out to matter
  2. 7:00pm — Three rooms open, each with a question on the door (this quarter: hiring freezes, tooling sprawl, and the four-day week)
  3. 8:00pm — Dinner, seated at tables of eight, seating shuffled so you do not sit with people you arrived with
  4. 9:00pm — Rooms reopen. Most people move at least twice
  5. 10:00pm — Close. A dozen or so always end up at the bar downstairs

What people say afterwards

“I have been to a lot of these. This is the only one where nobody tried to sell me anything, and I still left with two people I now call every month.”

AP

Anjali Prasad

VP Operations, Meridian Health

“The badges say what you do rather than who you are, which sounds like a gimmick and completely changes the conversations.”

RI

Rahul Iyengar

Head of People, Torsion Systems

“We solved a payroll problem over dinner that had been sitting in my backlog for four months. Someone had already been through it and just told me the answer.”

We read every registration and keep the mix balanced across functions, so places are confirmed rather than instant. You will hear back within three days.

Common questions

Why is registration not instant?+

We balance the room across functions and company stages by hand. If ninety heads of engineering registered on day one it would be a worse evening for all ninety of them.

Can I bring a colleague?+

Register separately and mention each other in the form. We usually say yes, but we will not seat you together at dinner.

Is the ₹1,500 the full cost?+

Yes. It covers dinner, drinks, and the room. We are not making money on this — when a partner underwrites an evening, the price drops rather than the profit rising.

What if I have to cancel?+

Tell us and we will refund you up to 48 hours before. After that we would rather you passed the place to someone else than left a seat empty.

Do you run this outside Hyderabad?+

Not yet. Two other cities are asking, and we would rather get this one right than run three mediocre ones.
