MUSCULOSKELETAL & POST-OPERATIVE REHABILITATION

Sixty minutes, one physiotherapist, no ultrasound machine.

Every Axis session is a full hour with the same clinician, from assessment to discharge. We do not run three patients in parallel, we do not use passive modalities with no evidence behind them, and we tell you at session three whether this is working.

What we treat, and what we do not

WE TREAT

  • Low back and neck pain, including radicular presentations
  • Post-operative knee, hip and shoulder rehabilitation
  • Tendinopathies — Achilles, patellar, rotator cuff, tennis elbow
  • Running and gym injuries, with a return-to-load plan
  • Persistent pain, where the goal is function rather than cure

WE DO NOT

  • Neurological rehabilitation — Sancheti has a far better unit for it
  • Paediatric physiotherapy
  • Dry needling as a standalone treatment sold by the session
  • Long "maintenance" packages after you no longer need us

How an episode of care runs

Session 1 — Assessment

Sixty minutes: history, movement testing, and a measured baseline we will re-test against. You leave with two or three exercises, not eleven.

Sessions 2–3 — Loading

We start loading the tissue that hurts, carefully, because rest alone rarely fixes a tendon. Your programme adjusts every session based on how the last week actually went.

Session 4 — The honest review

We re-test the baseline. If the numbers have not moved, we change the plan or we refer you on. We will not keep booking you in on hope.

We publish our outcomes

Every patient completes a validated outcome measure at assessment and discharge. The numbers below are all 412 episodes of care closed in the year to March 2026 — including the ones that did not improve.

  1. 74% discharged within eight sessions
  2. 11% referred on to orthopaedics or rheumatology
  3. 8% stopped attending before discharge — we count these as failures
  4. Median improvement of 31 points on the LEFS
Loaded strength work as part of a return-to-sport plan

“At the fourth session she showed me the baseline chart and said the plan was not working, and changed it. I had spent nine months elsewhere being given the same three exercises and a heat pack.”

Fees and practicalities

What does it cost?+

₹1,600 for the initial 60-minute assessment and ₹1,300 for follow-ups. There are no packages and no discount for buying six in advance, because that creates a reason to keep you coming.

Do I need a doctor's referral?+

No. Physiotherapy is direct-access in India. If we see something during assessment that needs imaging or a medical opinion, we will write to your GP the same day.

How many sessions will I need?+

For most musculoskeletal problems, four to eight. We will give you an estimate at assessment and we will tell you if we were wrong.

Do you do home visits?+

Post-operative patients in the first fortnight, yes, within 6 km. Otherwise no — the equipment that makes rehabilitation work does not fit in a bag.

Can I claim on insurance?+

We issue itemised invoices with the right codes, which most Indian insurers accept for post-surgical rehabilitation. Reimbursement for non-surgical physiotherapy is still rare and we will say so upfront rather than let you assume.
