COUNTING DOWN TO THE BIG DAY
2019
Rohan was on platform 4 waiting for a train to Mysuru. So was Ananya. Neither of them was supposed to be — the train left from platform 6, and by the time they worked that out they had missed it and gained an afternoon.
2023
Four years of weekend flights between Bengaluru and Pune ended the way everyone told us it would: with a shared apartment, an argument about bookshelves, and a grievously overfed street cat named Biscuit.
2026
Rohan proposed at 6am on a ridge above Coonoor, in fog thick enough that Ananya could not see the view he had spent two days planning around. She said yes anyway. We are getting married on that same hillside.
5:00pm at the Sunnyside Estate lawn. Informal, loud, and entirely outdoors — bring something warm for after sunset.
4:00pm sharp on the east lawn, followed by dinner in the estate house. The path is uneven — flat shoes are the kinder choice.
9:00am until whenever. Come in whatever you slept in. There will be filter coffee and far too many dosas.
Please let us know by the first of April so we can give the estate a headcount. Tell us about dietary needs in the same form — the kitchen genuinely reads them.
Travelling from out of town? Room blocks are held at two guesthouses in Coonoor until the first of May. Details are in the RSVP confirmation.
