Workflow analytics

Every active workflow has four tabs. This page explains what each one shows and how to read the numbers.

Overview tab

The Overview tab gives you the top-level health of the workflow at a glance.

Enrollment counts

CardWhat it shows
CompletedContacts who have reached the End node and finished the sequence
ActiveContacts currently mid-sequence — waiting on a delay, waiting for a step to execute
FailedContacts whose enrollment encountered an error and could not continue

The total enrolled count (the sum of all statuses) appears in the workflow header.

Budget progress

If the workflow has a budget set, the Overview tab shows a progress bar with messages sent against the cap. When the cap is reached, new enrollments pause and a banner appears — raise the cap to resume them.

Workflow details

The details panel shows key timestamps: when the workflow was created, when it was activated, and (if applicable) when it completed.

Enrollments tab

The Enrollments tab shows a row per enrolled contact.

ColumnWhat it shows
ContactName and email address of the enrolled contact
StatusCurrent enrollment status (see below)
Current StepThe step the contact is waiting at or currently executing
EnrolledWhen the contact entered the workflow

Enrollment statuses

StatusMeaning
ActiveMid-sequence — at least one step still to execute
PausedFrozen — the workflow was paused while this contact was in progress
CompletedReached the End node successfully
ExitedRemoved from the workflow before completion (manually exited)
FailedEncountered an error that prevented the enrollment from continuing

You can select active or paused enrollments and exit them in bulk using the checkbox column.

Step Graph tab

The Step Graph tab shows a read-only view of the workflow’s step graph with per-step execution counts overlaid on each node. Use it to see at a glance where contacts are accumulating or dropping off — for example, a Delay node with a large count simply means contacts are waiting there, while a high Failed count on a Send node points to a delivery problem.

Analytics tab

The Analytics tab has six sections covering email engagement and enrollment flow.

Email engagement metrics

Eight stat cards across the top:

MetricWhat it measures
SentTotal email sends attempted across all Send steps
DeliveredEmails accepted by the recipient’s mail server
BouncedEmails rejected by the recipient’s mail server
FailedSends that could not be dispatched (delivery infrastructure error)
Open RatePercentage of delivered emails opened at least once, with unique open count
Click RatePercentage of delivered emails where at least one link was clicked, with unique click count
CTORClick-to-open rate — clicks as a percentage of opens. Higher is better for link relevance.
UnsubscribedRecipients who unsubscribed via the email’s unsubscribe link

Engagement over time

An area chart showing how opens and clicks have accumulated since the workflow was activated. Useful for spotting when a send step fired (a sharp rise) or whether engagement is declining in longer sequences.

Per-step email engagement

A table breaking down opens, clicks, and other engagement by individual Send step. Use this to compare which step in your sequence is performing best — for example, your follow-up email may have a higher open rate than the welcome email because it only goes to disengaged contacts.

Enrollment funnel

A horizontal bar chart showing how many contacts are in each enrollment state:

BarWhat it represents
EnrolledTotal contacts who have ever entered the workflow
ActiveCurrently mid-sequence
CompletedFinished the full sequence
ExitedManually removed before completion
FailedStopped by an error

Completion rate

A single percentage: completed enrollments divided by total enrollments. A low completion rate in a long sequence is normal if many contacts are still Active; a low completion rate in a short sequence with few Active contacts suggests failures worth investigating in the per-step table.

Per-step execution metrics

A table with one row per step:

ColumnWhat it shows
ExecutionsTotal times this step has been reached
CompletedExecutions that finished successfully
FailedExecutions that errored
SkippedExecutions that were bypassed (e.g. a Condition branch that wasn’t taken)
Avg DurationMean time to complete the step — most relevant for Send steps (delivery latency) and Delay steps (configured wait time)

A table of every tracked link that appeared in any Send step’s email template, with total clicks and unique clicks. Use it to see which links in your emails are drawing the most attention.
